Oxygen helps with cleansing your lungs, as we can go weeks without food, days without water, but only minutes without air. Deep breathing exercises can help improve lung performance and clear airways, essentially making you feel better and give you more energy. Deep breathing allows more oxygenation of the cells within the body due to the fact practicing expands the diaphragm muscle and the air pockets within the lungs.
